Tracking & Delivery Policy
This should be a simple customer-facing page, especially because you’re building a tracking website. I wouldn’t make it overly legal.
Effective Date: Sep 14, 2026
US Parcel Link provides shipment tracking information to help customers monitor the progress of their freight from pickup through delivery.
1. Tracking Information
Once a shipment has been assigned to a carrier and tracking information becomes available, customers may receive a tracking number, PRO number, bill of lading number, or other shipment reference.
Tracking information may be provided by the carrier and displayed through our tracking system.
2. Tracking Updates
Tracking information is dependent on updates received from the applicable carrier. There may be periods when tracking information does not change even though the shipment is moving through the carrier’s network.
Tracking updates may be delayed due to:
- Carrier scanning delays
- Terminal transfers
- Weekends or holidays
- Weather
- Transportation delays
- System outages
- Carrier operational issues
A lack of a new tracking scan does not necessarily mean that a shipment has stopped moving.
3. Estimated Delivery Dates
Estimated delivery dates are provided for planning purposes unless the shipment has been specifically booked with a guaranteed delivery service.
Estimated delivery dates may change based on carrier operations, weather, traffic, terminal delays, equipment availability, or other transportation conditions.
4. Delivery Status
A shipment may show statuses such as:
- Label Created / Shipment Booked: Transportation arrangements have been initiated.
- Pickup Scheduled: A pickup has been requested or scheduled with the carrier.
- Picked Up: The carrier has received the shipment.
- In Transit: The shipment is moving through the carrier’s transportation network.
- At Terminal: The shipment has reached a carrier terminal or facility.
- Out for Delivery: The shipment has been dispatched for final delivery.
- Delivered: The carrier has reported the shipment as delivered.
- Exception / Delay: The shipment has encountered a condition that may affect normal transportation or delivery.
5. Delivery Confirmation
A shipment may be considered delivered when the applicable carrier records the shipment as delivered. Customers should retain delivery documentation, including the signed delivery receipt or bill of lading.
6. Tracking Problems
If tracking information has not updated for an extended period or appears incorrect, customers should contact US Parcel Link. Please provide:
- Customer name
- Order or shipment number
- Tracking or PRO number
- Pickup location
- Delivery location
We will review the available information and contact the carrier when appropriate.
7. Delivery Exceptions
Delivery may be delayed when:
- The address is incorrect
- The receiver is unavailable
- The delivery location is inaccessible
- A delivery appointment is required
- Additional equipment is required
- The shipment is refused
- Additional charges are due
- Weather or road conditions prevent delivery
- The carrier experiences an operational delay
Additional charges may apply depending on the reason for the exception.
8. Customer Responsibility at Delivery
Customers should inspect the shipment before signing for delivery whenever possible. Any visible damage or shortage should be documented on the delivery receipt or bill of lading.
Customers should photograph damaged packaging and freight and report the issue promptly. Please refer to our Freight Damage & Claims Policy for additional information.
9. Third-Party Carrier Tracking
Tracking information may originate from a third-party carrier.
Because carrier systems and scan events are outside our direct control, US Parcel Link does not guarantee that tracking information will always be immediate, complete, or error-free.
