Shipping & Delivery Policy
Effective Date: Sep 14, 2026
At US Parcel Link, we arrange and provide transportation services for commercial freight, auto parts, engines, transmissions, palletized shipments, and other eligible goods throughout the United States.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how shipments are processed, picked up, transported, and delivered.
1. Shipment Processing
Once a shipment is booked and payment or approved billing arrangements have been completed, we begin processing the transportation request.
Processing may include:
- Verifying shipment details
- Confirming pickup and delivery addresses
- Confirming freight dimensions and weight
- Selecting an appropriate carrier or transportation provider
- Arranging pickup
- Preparing shipping documentation
- Providing tracking information when available
Processing times may vary depending on the shipment, pickup location, carrier availability, and service selected.
2. Pickup
Pickup dates are scheduled based on carrier availability and the service selected. A pickup date is not considered guaranteed unless the shipment has specifically been booked as a guaranteed service.
Customers must ensure that the pickup location is ready and accessible for the carrier. If the shipment is not ready when the carrier arrives, additional charges may apply for:
- Waiting time
- Re-attempted pickup
- Storage
- Redelivery
- Additional transportation
- Other carrier-imposed charges
3. Delivery
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless guaranteed service has been specifically purchased and confirmed. Transportation may be delayed by weather, traffic, mechanical issues, terminal operations, carrier capacity, road conditions, accidents, government restrictions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers should not schedule critical installation, labor, appointments, or other time-sensitive activities solely on the basis of an estimated delivery date.
4. Delivery Locations
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address. Additional charges may apply for:
- Residential delivery
- Limited-access locations
- Liftgate service
- Inside delivery
- Appointment delivery
- Address corrections
- Re-delivery
- Storage
- Other special handling requirements
If the delivery location cannot safely accommodate the carrier’s equipment, the carrier may require the shipment to be delivered at an alternate accessible location.
5. Freight Preparation
The shipper is responsible for properly preparing and securing the shipment unless packaging or preparation services have been specifically arranged with US Parcel Link.
Engines, transmissions, vehicle components, and other automotive parts should be properly drained, secured, packaged, palletized, or otherwise prepared for transportation.
Improperly packaged freight may be refused or transported at the shipper’s risk, subject to applicable carrier terms and liability rules.
6. Freight Information
The customer must provide accurate information regarding:
- Description of goods
- Weight
- Dimensions
- Quantity
- Freight classification, when applicable
- Pickup address
- Delivery address
- Special handling requirements
- Hazardous or regulated materials
Incorrect information may result in reclassification, additional freight charges, delays, or other carrier charges.
7. Additional Charges
The original transportation quote is based on the information available when the shipment is booked. Additional charges may apply if actual shipment conditions differ from the information provided.
The customer is responsible for applicable carrier charges resulting from inaccurate shipment information, special services, re-delivery, storage, address changes, detention, or other accessorial services.
8. Carrier Selection
Shipments may be transported by US Parcel Link, an affiliated carrier, contracted carrier, freight company, or other transportation provider.
Carrier selection may depend on location, freight type, dimensions, weight, service availability, delivery requirements, and pricing.
9. Delays
Although we make reasonable efforts to arrange timely transportation, transit times are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, traffic, accidents, carrier interruptions, terminal delays, mechanical problems, road closures, labor disruptions, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
10. Customer Inspection
Customers should inspect freight at delivery whenever possible. Any visible damage, shortage, or other delivery issue should be noted on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing.
For concealed damage, customers should retain the original packaging and take photographs of the shipment and damage as soon as reasonably possible. Claims are handled in accordance with the applicable carrier’s terms, bill of lading, tariff, and applicable law.
11. Shipment Acceptance
By booking transportation with US Parcel Link, the customer confirms that the information supplied for the shipment is accurate and agrees to comply with this Shipping & Delivery Policy and the applicable transportation documents.
